You never know what Tested Spring Co have under the bench , especially if you have yet to make the thing . Find them in out Suppliers section .

One also finds very stiff springs in power presses , tho' of smaller dimension . So there should be plenty of these around the Midlands . They all seem to be colour coded . I did find a load of these on Google , but cannot remember where . Obviously check on Ebay , you never know what is being sold off .

It is not easy to find big Springs off the shelf, I have had to do that at work.

Having some made will cost you a fortune however I have done some lateral thinking, you might find something suitable or adaptable here.

How about horsebox ramp springs, the underfloor variety? this firm makes them, or maybe a breakers. Where abouts are you, roughly, county would help. There is this company but they ar in Ireland, there must be equivalent suppliers in uk.http://www.horseboxsupplies.com/hors...ngs/4556762308
