Ransomes Sims and Jefferies 1909 6HP semi portable 21472
The engine was completely rebuilt 6 years ago. The boiler has a new flanged and riveted fire box, the outer fire box has had the lower 8" renewed, new foundation ring, front 12" of barrel renewed, new front tube plate and new smoke box.
All motion has been overhauled and the main and big end bearings are white metalled. A second feed water clack has been fitted to a proper riveted on pad and this is supplied by a small Weir pump mounted on the firebox side. Original RSJ displacement cylinder lubricator and a Manzel lubricator are fitted.
The engine was originally a portable and the semi portable tank and ash pan base are new. There is a new boiler ticket on the engine. The engine has its fore carriage, axles and wheels which are included in the sale. The engine can be put back as a portable in half a day.
