Default 1928 Robey 3 speed, 6 ton, steam wagon project

For sale, 1928 Robey 3 speed, 6 ton, steam wagon project

First of all, I make no bones about the fact that this engine started life as a tandem roller, I even ran it as such for 3 years in the 1980’s. All roller parts I have left are included in the sale. Robey’s, as an off shoot of their wagons, put exactly the same boiler & engine unit in their tandem rollers. All work done so far is to Robey drawings, to create an accurate wagon. I estimate 70% of the mechanical parts are done.

Work done so far includes: -

3 speed gearing done.

Diff centre & all diff gears made.

Enough drive chain for above
.
Rear axle boxes part made.

Tilling Stevens rear axle, donor for brake gear, very similar to Robey’s

Five 40 x 8 rear wheels & tyres.

Three front wheels & 2 tyres, front wheel hubs.

Front & rear springs made, including spring hangers.

Rear axle radius rod end castings + tube.

Front axle, part made.

Steering box & quadrant made.

Forecharge part made.

Front stub axles cast in steel (pattern made)

New wagon chimney with liner.

New chimney cap spun & fitted (formers made)

Smokebox door ring made.

Various name plate castings.

Set of brass front head & side lights.

Set of drawings.

Price £60K o.n.o.

Please P.M. me with any questions or to arrange a viewing.
