Festival offers blooms, hot air balloons, wine, and family fun!_

Spring in Oregon means one thing—tulip season! The Wooden Shoe Tulip
Festival in Woodburn is one of the state’s most breathtaking events,
drawing visitors to explore 40 acres of stunning tulip fields. Running
from March 21 to April 27, 2025, this annual celebration is packed
with vibrant blooms, exciting activities, and memorable experiences
for all ages.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO VISIT THE WOODEN SHOE TULIP FARM?

Tulips bloom based on weather conditions, meaning each year is
slightly different. While some tulips pop up as early as late March,
the most vivid and overlapping colors typically appear in mid-April.

FESTIVAL ACTIVITIES & ATTRACTIONS

There’s more to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival than just flowers.
Visitors can enjoy HOT AIR BALLOON RIDES, carnival attractions, farm
tours, wine tastings, and even wooden shoe-making demonstrations.
Here's a breakdown of what’s happening each day:

WEEKDAY ACTIVITIES

* FOOD VENDORS – Enjoy tasty treats from local favorites like
Deliciosa Donuts, Hotshot Bar-B-Q, and La Familia Mexican Food.
* CHILDREN’S PLAY AREA – Jump tents, sandboxes, and duck races.
* CARNIVAL RIDES – Available for an extra fee ($3-$7 per ride,
weather permitting).
* WOODEN SHOE VINEYARDS TASTING ROOM – Sip estate-grown wines,
beer, and cider.
* TULIP MARKET & FIELD SHOP – Buy cut flowers, bulbs, and festival
merchandise.
* RED BARN HEMP – Learn about the farm’s locally grown hemp oil
products.

WEEKEND-ONLY ACTIVITIES

* WOODEN SHOE MAKING DEMONSTRATIONS – Watch a skilled craftsman
create traditional Dutch wooden shoes.
* STEAM TRACTOR DEMONSTRATIONS – See antique steam-powered
tractors in action.
* CRAFT MARKETPLACE – Browse handmade goods from local artisans.
* BALLOON ARTIST – Twisting up fun near the children’s play

* TETHERED HOT AIR BALLOON RIDES – Lift off for a short, scenic
view of the tulip fields (Thursday-Sunday, 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM, weather
permitting).

WHAT ARE THE HOT AIR BALLOON RIDE OPTIONS? There are two ways to
experience the tulip fields from above:

* TETHERED FLIGHTS – The balloon remains secured to the ground,
rising 50-75 feet for a short but scenic view. Cost:

* Adults: $20
* Children (under 12): $10

* SUNRISE FLIGHTS – A 45-minute to 1-hour free-flying experience
at 2,000-3,000 feet over the countryside. This adventure includes a
champagne toast after landing, and reservations are required through
PORTLAND ROSE BALLOONS.

NOTE: All balloon rides are weather-dependent and require calm winds
(less than 8 mph).

PHOTOGRAPHY AT THE FESTIVAL

CAN I TAKE PHOTOS AT SUNRISE OR SUNSET?

Yes! Season passes allow entry one hour before sunrise and one hour
after sunset, perfect for golden-hour photography. A Sunrise Day Pass
is also available for early access.

DRONE PHOTOGRAPHY

While drones are typically prohibited, limited Drone Operator Passes
are available for FAA-licensed pilots with a season or sunrise pass.
Drone flight is only allowed from 5 AM to 8 AM.

OVERNIGHT STAR PHOTOGRAPHY

A select number of overnight photography sessions will be offered this
year. Interested photographers should reach out via Instagram or
Facebook with samples of their work.

TICKETS & ADMISSION

DO TICKETS SELL OUT? Yes! Tickets are available online only and can
sell out on weekends and peak bloom days. Purchasing in advance is
highly recommended.

GENERAL ADMISSION (VALID FOR ONE-DAY ENTRY, KIDS 12 & UNDER FREE):

SEASON PASSES (UNLIMITED ENTRY DURING FESTIVAL DATES):

* INDIVIDUAL SEASON PASS: $60
* DUAL EVENT SEASON PASS: $70 (includes Summer Flower Event that
takes place from July through August).

SPECIAL TOURS & EXPERIENCES (ADVANCE BOOKING REQUIRED):

* WINE TOURS: A one-hour guided ride through the tulip fields and
vineyards, including wine tasting and a snack box.
* FARM TOURS: Learn about the farm’s history from the Iverson

* ACCESSIBILITY: The festival takes place on grass, gravel, and
dirt. Accessibility depends on weather conditions and mobility

weather). Some activities may be affected by heavy rain or wind.
* PETS: Leashed dogs are welcome, but owners must clean up after
them. Note that other pets may be on the grounds, so if you bring your
