Aveling/Clayton/Babcock 6 TON nominal weight cast plate
For Sale: A cast iron nominal weight plate from one of W.W. Buncombe's fleet of rollers, probably from a Clayton or Babcock roller. These plates were screwed onto the front forks - it is said that they were swapped to meet the weight requirement of the local surveyor. Dimensions 7 1/4" x 2 1/8", drilled for screws at 6" centres.
