Hi . Thinning out my collection of steam books . Sorry not more road steam related, but most of these are classics and very interesting period items.


STATIONARY STEAM ENGINE MAKERS Vol. 2 by George Watkins - pub. LANDMARK 2006

175 pages - hundreds of photographs , drawings and diagrams of every type of steam engine.
( George Watkins is THE acknowledged expert on stationary and mill steam engines )

As new condition with mint dust jacket - and now hard to find. £ 25 + £ 5 p&p .


MARINE ENGINES & BOILERS - Design & Construction by Bauer & Robertson - pub. Crosby Lockwood 1905

745 pages - many illustrations and drawings Comprehensive period technical book on Marine Steam.

( Pettigrew was Works Manager at LSWR NINE ELM & EASTLEIGH loco works and later CME Furness Railway ).

430 pages. A comprehensive textbook on turn- of - century locomotive design & construction . Good sections on valve motions and loco type boiler design. Many illustrations and drawings .

A classic work and quite rare . Covers a bit rubbed , otherwise very clean internally £ 25 + £ 6 p & p.
