I bought a Town and Woodhouse 4' radial drill with box table on Ebay a few months ago for a farmer friend. It was a bit grubby but it cleaned up well and is quiet in all the gears. The 4 MT spindle ss in good condition. The box plate had numerous holes in it but is perfectly servicable. I fitted a coolant pump as the original one was missing. All in all a cracking machine - it cost me (him) £450. If you are not in an immediate rush I suggest you keep an eye on ebay. Yes, prices are often high but there are bargains to be had if you are patient.

The seller had advertised it at £1000 and it had failed to sell after several listings. I took a punt and contacted him and made him an offer which he accepted a week later.

Cheers Carl.
