James Coward's engine - no. 2425 - "From 1910 was used for river dredging work for Monument & Ray of East Harling."
I believe this was used to bring the empty dredge back, having been pulled by a ploughing engine, with the cable run forward through a large diameter pulley strapped round the smokebox.
