i guess the best compromise is the quadtracs as you have the benefit of removing half a dozen bolts and they are back off again and you don't have to do any thing to the original wheels providing you have spud holes which the mac will certainly have. already had a similar discussion with dad regarding what to do with the fowlers rear wheels as i like the quadtracs as there is no draw backs with them other than the usual argument that a road loco should be on solids but seeing the great north on quads i think fowlers wear them really well so that is what 8669 will be having.

plus it would be nice to run her on streaks from time to time same as what your doing with the mac chris
