Here is a photo I took of 'Pegasus' many years ago. I'm sure it was taken at a rally organised by the Buxworth Steam Group, in the early 80s and held at Stoneleigh Abbey. It is an event I remember due to the very low number of engines present - a couple of dozen 'expected' and in reality about half a dozen actually there. Still, I got a good picture of Pegasus - it looks the same now...

I know the people who have recently worked on the roller and put it back on the road. They have all worked hard and hopefully feel a sense of achievement at seeing the machine in steam again. The roller had major boiler work, undertaken by the original Israel Newton company, which included a new firebox and barrel. It is the neatest boiler work I have ever seen, it is very good indeed. The roller was put back together and other than trial steamings, for various reasons, it was parked in an open sided barn and never went out. It has been worked on over the last six months or so and Banbury was the first event it attended, followed by Birdingbury.
