Default Water tank

Heavy steel tank , capacity about 960 litres , or a shade under 200 gallons .

This heavy gauge steel tank is cylindrical , diameter a bare metre / 39" , and has had two cutaways welded into the ends to accomodate the wheelboxes when loaded athwartships in a narrow Sankey ( WD Landrover 3/4 ton ) trailer . These cutaways are 10" / 250mm high , and recessed 7" from each end of the tank , leaving 35.1/2 " cylindrical between them . There is a 1.1/2" BSP bung in the bottom and a neck and lid about 10" diameter on the top . The cutaways appear to have been very well executed . They are reinforced with angle and the welding looks very professional .

I am selling because it is too heavy for me to manhandle in and out of my trailer . I now have an army Sankey trailer plastic water pod . On a flat trailer it would sit very well on two 10" blocks . It has many layers of paint on it , and the interior seems to be tired galvanising .

This tank might even be solid enough to convert to a bowser by welding parts onto the tank itself .

Delivery could be arranged from the Rugby area
