Yes , just to make the point , the Clupet Piston Ring Co make all sorts and sizes of ring , not only those of their own patent design . The Clupet patent ring is very flexible , and so accomodates a worn or irregular bore much better than a normal ring .

The Clupet patent rings look as if they would be a problem to fit to the piston , but because of their flexibility they are in fact easy to fit . I had a very pleasant surprise when I fitted mine .

Rings can always be pegged with a bronze peg in the gap to prevent them from rotating , so as to ensure that they cannot catch in ports .
