Part built 2" scale Aveling & Porter compound roller to John Haining's design. Based on Aveling's 1930 AB/AD/AF designs.
I believe this was started around 35 years ago, it is largely complete, the biggest job is that it requires the copper boiler assembling. There are two unmachined castings with it, for the water pump and the gear change bracket, all other missing parts could be fabricated. It's a heavy thing and nicely made so far - I've loosely assembled it for pictures.
Included in the sale are copies of the Haining build series in Model Engineer, and two part used tins of Craftmaster paint (A&P green and A&P deep india red)
Ideal Christmas present?! It does look good in the front room!
