Default Marshall living van

Rare opportunity – keep warm and dry in style in the coming rally season!

MARSHALL LIVING VAN No. 102, circa 1910

Side entrance; four Marshall iron wheels (discretely rubbered to improve ride); large leaf springs on front and rear axles; good sprung tow bar.

Kept under cover for the past 12 years. The van is in very original condition, with a lovely genuine 'workaday' character. It has some old repairs to the frame (probably dating from its working days) and some replanking. Roof recently re-felted and body repainted in green. Old red paint on iron wheels and wooden undercarriage - in fact the paint on the undercarriage might be original Marshall. Some might want to tidy it a little further, but it is perfectly presentable and usable as it is. It has a very good original interior - three bunks, fold down table, bench seat, cupboard, six lockers (one with brackets for storing engine lamps), 'Caledonia Queen' cast iron coal-burning stove with new chimney, etc. It has its Marshall maker's plate (No. 102), a large cast iron name plate from original owners W G Smoothy, Rochford, and their Fleet Number plate.

The van may be inspected in the Scottish Borders. Price £6,250 ovno
