Chester's a good engine on the hills - mind you she needs to be in your neck of the woods!! I gather Rob and Nick went over to the Westonzoyland Pumping Station. They were not back when I left, about ten minutes before I caught up with you.
Thanks for coming, and particularly for bringing the two engines. Chester has been noted as being the most famous engine to pass through West Monkton..... but don't tell the owners of The Gladiator, Cornish Maid, Princess Mary, Duke of Kent, Progress etc., etc., etc. (Forgot that our 50th anniversary road run in 2005 started from there). Incidentally, the first ever Taunton Rally in 1956 was in the field alongside the layby where you stopped to oil up, and to do , other things....
