Default 5" Kerr Stuart Steam Loco

For sale regrettably:

A complete, never steamed, but chassis ran on air, 5" gauge Kerr Stuart and Co Ltd 0-4-2 Loco "Edward Thomas"

Built to a very good standard and has been displayed for a number of years. Comes with a short piece of display track, and a ride on carriage, resembling a passenger carriage, with detachable top half and padded seat with foot rests and brake when used with the loco in steam, so a really neat set up.

The engine could readily be brought to steaming condition with minimal work, It could do with being disassembled and going through all joints etc. As far as I can tell all fittings except pressure gauge are present. There is an injector, pump and hand pump discretely in one coal bunker.

I have only seen 2 others of this very attractive little loco and neither appeared to have had much attention to detail. This is a nice example that could benefit from someone’s enthusiasm to make it top notch, be it for use or continued display.

Sadly I will not get around to giving this little engine the justice it deserves but it has given me a lot of pleasure over the last decade or so.

More pictures available to interested parties.

£3000 ono

Thanks,

Tom
