Default 1957 Royal Enfield 500 Bullett .......

.......fitted with 1958 Royal Enfield ' Airflow ' fairing .

For sale to clear way for completion of Fowler rebuild .

A ' riders bike ' in clean but not concours condition . Unused since purchase of Fowler several years ago .

Engine mildly tuned with larger inlet valve , will cruise at 70 without fuss . Complete transmission rebuild , with new chains , sprockets and clutch . Gearbox stripped and checked . Engine has not needed touching .

Alternator rewired for 12 volts . Lucas rotating magnet magneto . Metzler tyres have done less than 1000 miles and have massively improved handling . Brakes relined and drums and linings skimmed , new rear drum .

Royal Enfield invested in developing the Airflow fairing with windtunnell tests , and it has excellent aerodynamics and is excellent in crosswinds . Excellent weather protection and streamlining from head to foot .

Fitted with Indian Enfield Tank , but original tank available . Original type dual seat , but split level Indian Enfield dual seat also available , and would improve comfort . Original Royal Enfield pannier frames and proofed canvas bags fitted .

All spares for English and Indian Enfields are available from Hitchcocks near Warwick , together with all the options which you could want to update brakes , and retrofit conversions ( ! ) to Indian 5 speed gearbox . Also big bore and long stroke engine conversion kits .

Available now , and price will include new MOT and battery . £ 2000.
