Newark Tractor Show

Went today, and saw some interesting machines. below is a photo of one of the oldest there, and I believe the one of these was a skid unit for one of their chain track tractors.

Cheers for that Matt,
Looks like an interesting machine |
A very interesting machine, which was at the Onslow Park show a couple of years ago, effectively a 'stationary' engine on wheels ( if that isn't a contradiction). Britian's first practical tractor was said to be the 1902 Ivel, so, presumably, the Ruston wasn't very practical. £500 must have been a lot of money in 1897. Thanks for posting.
Barry. |
who was doing the threshing demo?
|
My folks with Phil Clements and teapot, 1894 Marshall 23803, then paul duxbry's drum and robin drury's bailer (i think the drum and bailer i've got right!)
