For sale 1975 'N' reg Atkinson Defender 8x4 with a 220 Cummins, 10 speed Fuller box. excellent condition, never been in showland, well known lorry, very good tyres, fully rebuilt cab, recent clutch, fully sorted engine, brakes, etc. everything works as it should, regularly serviced by Seddon Atkinson dealer. 30ft behind cab the generator is not included. Body would make great rally living accomodation or can be removed for buyer. Would make nice transport for vintage tractor, etc.

The Atkinson club said 'this is one of the best Atkinson Defenders in the country'.

To clarify, this lorry has never been or worked as a showman's vehicle and was bought to use with a vintage fairground ride which has never opened. Apart from the body it is in the same top condition as it was when bought from Gary and John Pearce. Storage is possible in Warrington area.

SOME EXTRA INFO THAT HAS BEEN ASKED FOR...

* Registered as Special Vehicle on the V5. Road fund licence is the same as a car
* The body has a roller shutter door and is from a 36 ft artic trailer which was cut off and fixed to the lorry's flatbed. It's a grp faced ply material 1" thick. It does the job for what I want but I'd guess if you wanted to show the lorry at rallies it would need a bit of tidying and a proper paint. It's all sound, waterproof very good floor with no rot and was only put on last year. It would easily convert back to a nice flatbed if removed.
* Plated at 30 ton gross.
* Big jaw and pin hitch and 50mm trailer hitch on rear.
* 50mph + on motorway.
* Air operated windscreen wipers work fine.
* Cab and door timbers replaced.
* Modern 22.5 wheels with tubless tyres, non of the old split rim stuff.
