Great display of engines.
Shame the bloke that organised it was refused any passes to hand out, or even sent one himself. So much for loyalty or thanks eh? Oh well once bitten and all that. By all accounts was a good solid show after a few years of going tits up. At the end of the day thats all that matters. |
Many years ago Fairford was a regular event for exhibitors from the Potteries. Excellent pictures, thanks for posting, that Paxman diesel looks impressive.

Hi Steve, great pictures, two excellent Barnes rollers!! Norman Hillman came to visit on sunday, his uncle was a Barnes driver and he knows a lot of their history, I could not remember your gramps name, Norman thought he would probably be able to help with more info, so if you send me his name I will write to Norman and we'll see what happens! the sun shon on sunday too! Could the green grass be anything to do with all the Bullxxhit!?

A fantastic weekend, well done to nigel for sorting out the steam section, a very good job done when asked to do it at the last min, also my thanks to jeff and ian for lots of very helpfull advice over the weekend.
