Upto about 40+ engines over the last few years. The road run is definately the highlight. Some 200-300 vintage vehicles in the town centre, with the police closing the town to traffic for approx 3 hours.

a well organised event , well worth visiting, and a very good evening road run.

Will be interesting to see if the police carry out the same procedures this weekend as they did last weekend with regards to the road run. Both Pickering & Driffield policed by same authority?

The difference is that the Driffield road run is ran propperley with police consent (the police actually close the roads) and is doen to raise money for Cancer research. Where as Pickering is more of a unorgansied mess, where the police are present but are not involved directly.

Also they are policed by 2 different forces :-)
