Walsall Town Show 2009

The Commentator has sent me these pictures taken at the Walsall Town Show in the grounds of the Walsall Arboretum.

The engines were in attendance in order to celebrate 150th anniversary of the birth of Pat Collins "The KIng of Showman".The engines featured are 'Wait and See', 'Admiral Beatty' and Len Crane's engine:

I went to the show on Sunday. It was very nice to see Wait and See the Yellow legend
But that was it
I had hoped to see 2 or 3 other Pat Collins engine and some old rides
I have never been to Walsall before got well lost in the town centre Not a sign for show to be seen
The Storm Troopers on the gates and the car park (that was almost non existent) were not very helpful to say the least All entrances just coned off with more Storm Troopers on guard shooing cars away The Car I had to abandon it a side road after 30 minutes of driving around looking for the Ample car parking as per the web site
Once in Not even a Pass out system to go back to the car to get my camera to take a picture of Wait and See
Pat Collins would not have been a happy man. A very poor Tribute to the King of Showmen

Wait and See running much better than it's Stapleford appearance, I heard the crank had been out.
Admiral Beaty not in steam on saturday, plug was leaking, did they get it sorted?

I did notice Clive around on Saturday, but all were busy trying to get WW out of the soft ground when we were there.
