Chronicles of a Country Works, Ronald Clark
Does anybody have a copy of Chronicles of a Country Works by Ronald Clark that they would like to sell?
I've been searching around eBay for a while but nothing has come up. PM or email me at: david@steamscenes.org.uk |
I have seen them on ebay from time to time, but traction engine stuff has been a bit thin on the ground an ebay for a while now.

Try ABE BOOKS UK website , go onto `Advanced Search ` - 4 copies listed with prices and full description of condition . I`ve bought many obscure and probably otherwise unobtainable engineering and steam related books through this site with no problems - some of my purchases have been from abroad - the US particularly. The books have always been better than their desciption !!. Good hunting .......... MARK |
Abe is very useful - as is the USA especially for older books. I think what may have happened is that in Victorian times there were relatively few American books on the subject so most people got UK text books - but now because they weren't published in the USA the Americans don't seem to be particularly keen on getting them.
Another tip for anyone interested in steam carriages is that rather than trying to get hold of the UK select committee report and hearing try and go for a copy that was reprinted for the American Senate it is the same content but a lot cheaper generally. Tony |
I do have 2 copies in my study one I would be willing to part with if you are still looking for a copy? its in good condition and I can also send a copy of the dust cover as my second copy is in mint condition and copy it of for if you wish? Paul Coupland.
