Fowler BB1 Ploughing Engine Road Gear

Can anyone help me find a new Road Spur Pinion (the final drive gear) for a 1919 Class BB1 Ploughing Engine which we are rebuilding? Details from Fowler Dwg. No. 61704 are 12 teeth at 2 3/4" pitch on 10.5" diameter. Williams Team Owner/Manager Dave (Engines) at Hay on Wye, Hereford can collect!
Appreciate any assistance - to this, my first attempt to post a thread.

Hi there,
I have a spare one in the garage, it came with my AA7 but did not fit. I will measure it up as soon as I can and get back to you.

Regards
Steve

Hi there Steve,
I am amazed that it took only 5 minutes for your reply! What an amazing web site.
I have the drawing beside me and the details are as follows:
12 teeth at 2 3/4" pitch on 10.5" diameter (centre of the teeth depth?)
Outside Diameter of gear is 12 1/4"
Inside Diameter (for shaft) is 4 5/8"
2 keyways 1 1/4" wide and 7/16" deep @ 1/3 (of circumference) apart

If we have a match would be pleased to exchange contact details.
Many thanks
Dick

That's certainly cheaper than all my suggestions the other day.

Hi Dick,
Just to let yu know that I have'nt forgotten you, its just been too cold to enter the garage. (its been s cold the coolant has frozen in one of the lathes) I hope to pry the door open tomorrow.
Cheers

i have a worn gear that could be restored with weld if you are missing this gear.

Much appreciate your help. We have the gear - but in the (still) unsuccessful attempts to remove it from the shaft it is now looking decidedly worse for wear!
Can you please contact me regarding details,
Cheers,
Dick
