Fowler Ploughing Engine / Road Loco Whistle

Part of a new years clear-out of things gathering dust, I'm selling this very nice Fowler whistle. Believed ploughing engine and / or road loco, the whistle measures about 13 1/2" overall height from male fitting to top. On the stand shown (brass hubcap?) and wooden plinth, it is nearly 17" tall.

Has been on display in our house, and makes a great talking point. It is complete and I see no reason why it's not ready to use or just put on display on the coffee table.

The last one I saw sold about 18 months ago fetched £870 - so I'm looking for sensible offers around £650.

Email simontansley@hotmail.com or ring (0116) 2926706 if interested.

In reply to some questions, yes - there is a hole in the brass stand, and the whistle does still have the male fitting. Difficult to measure, but this is about 1 3/4" long.
