Bressingham Heritage Steam Gala 4th - 6th May
These are a few pictures from the first day of this event and the pub run. They are carefully chosen as being the best I happened to get!
Here is part of the line-up, showing (L to R) Garrett agricultural 'Felsted Belle': unidentified (By me that is. Where's your registration plate?) Ransomes, Sims & Jefferies agricultural: Bressingham's own Burrell DCC roller 'Buster': Burrell SCC 'The Duchess'. https://www.tractiontalkforum.com/pi...ictureid=53480 A half-size version of Burrell's prototype 3 ton 'Special Light Traction Engine' of 1898, trying to look big in front of the line-up, with Burrell SCC agricultural no. 2770 to the left. https://www.tractiontalkforum.com/pi...ictureid=53482 A close-up of The Duchess, now carrying the name of her (relatively) new owners. https://www.tractiontalkforum.com/pi...ictureid=53483 Burrell SCC and Felsted Belle. https://www.tractiontalkforum.com/pi...ictureid=53484 Some engines look wonderful, restored to 'better then new' condition. However there is a special charm about one that looks used but cared for, like Marshall agricultural 'Bessie'. https://www.tractiontalkforum.com/pi...ictureid=53485 The sheer bulk of a ploughing engine is always impressive. This is Fowler AA7 'Cissie'. Her partner is another 'Bessie' - not currently in steam. https://www.tractiontalkforum.com/pi...ictureid=53487 Wallis & Steevens 'Advance' roller 'Duke of Ellington'. https://www.tractiontalkforum.com/pi...ictureid=53486 Ruston & Hornsby agricultural 'Oliver' plus load. https://www.tractiontalkforum.com/pi...ictureid=53488 Also on its way to the pub, lovely 4 ins Burrell DCC road loco 'Mary Rose'. https://www.tractiontalkforum.com/pi...ictureid=53490 Felsted Belle arriving on Fair Green, Diss, in front of 'The Cock' pub. https://www.tractiontalkforum.com/pi...ictureid=53493 The Ransomes, also with load. https://www.tractiontalkforum.com/pi...ictureid=53494 And the Duke of Ellington. https://www.tractiontalkforum.com/pi...ictureid=53495 Mary Rose on Fair Green. https://www.tractiontalkforum.com/pi...ictureid=53496 Cissie attracting an audience. https://www.tractiontalkforum.com/pi...ictureid=53499 Felsted Belle backing up to its van after a run round the Green. https://www.tractiontalkforum.com/pi...ictureid=53501] A sight never before seen on Fair Green but, hopefully, it will be again. https://www.tractiontalkforum.com/pi...ictureid=53497 Sorry if I'm overdoing one engine, but I thought that Mary Rose going home made a lovely picture. https://www.tractiontalkforum.com/pi...ictureid=53498 Bill. |
