Toyota Hilux Pickup
 

My faithful Toyota Hilux 4x2 pickup is unexpectedly for sale , due to its replacement being sold off by its first owner prematurely . They now need a small dropside flat .

12 years old . Two owners 4 x 2 , 160 k miles . Excellent condition mechanically and bodywise , Loadspace relined with heavy ply last year , and always garaged or sheeted . Usual pickup dents .

Has been used for collecting and delivering new industrial diesel engines by my former employer , from whom I bought it three or four years ago . Always kept up to date service wise . Private use since then

Air bag and ABS . Tyres 60% or better . Mot 'til next spring . Interior excellent but driver's seat scuffed . Some acid drop marks on bonnet , but paint otherwise good . At present has plastic chequer logo on sides , but the sign writing has been removed . Peels off with heat gun or hair dryer and old credit card , or finger nail . I kept this because it lends it some visual distinction , and doesn't look like an anonymous pikey !

Now the Bonus .
Already fitted with two chassis sockets for plug in front tow hitches , which I have used to fit a quickly detachable A bar with which I tow it behind my engine . It has proved to be an excellent get-you-home fuel and water trailer . Parts available from Watling Engineers , Nr. St Albans to fit your own A bar .

Also good ( ? Witter ) towbar .
