Harewood Rally
 

Beeen today, good weather, 20 odd engines, 100s of Harleys, nice atmosphere in a lovely woodland setting, Not many signs around telling people its on though, only saw 1 on lamp outside main gates.

Good day out , shame about the soft ground it must be why the rollers didn't come in the arena:(
One or two engines I have not seen before were in attendance namely Fowler "James Penfold" and "Midnight" also the Burrell "Little Mac".
Aveling roller "Withernsea" looked very impressive , not an engine I see that often.

I think this gives an idea of the old and new flavour, I took this at around 4.30 today when things had quietened down a bit.

One of the Harley guys who was chatting to us, said there was over 800 of them present. he had come all the way from Brighton.

Is Fowler 14893, the Barracloughs 'Midnight' ??

and a 4th speed, but where are the rivetts holding the barrell to the throatplate?

Thought it was Hedd! LOL Thats just it - there are no rivets, I'm fairly familiar with the boiler construction, Steve B only lives about 6 miles from my parents in Norfolk, so get fairly regular up-dates...

Some nice engines there chaps, that Fowler Tiger is a real honey. Come on then, what's the story with Midnight?
