Long Melford steam rally.
 

For those planning on going to the Long Melford rally, due to an inspection of the rally site, a decision has been made to cancel the rally as the ground is under water, and will not be suitable for using in a weeks time, when the rally was planned for.

I have read today in the local Mercury free paper that there is an advertisement for the Long Melford Rally, there is nothing on the advert to say it is cancelled, very misleading.From the date of the notification of the cancellation on here there should have been time to cancel any advertising in local papers where a lot of local people may see it and if they go will be very disappointed at there not being a show.

This may be of interest, according to reports I have heard this may be a better do than the rally was!
