Bent nosed valve

Wanted,

Any condition, needed to help complete restoration of 3804 road loco.

John surely the valve wouldn't be on manstand as the water lift is on the belly tanks ?

Have you tried Universal Steam Engineering?

andy_smith 18th April 2016 08:21 PM

I believe Martin Fagg has made them in the past and may have patterns

valve

Andy - you are correct - however in his unfortunate fire they got destroyed - Martin made the valves for 3166 .

That's rather tragic. I am pretty sure the drawings are available from MERL.

John,

I can't help, but are you talking about the glanded plug type or globe valve? I tam looking for a plug type (glanded) and would be willing to share pattern costs etc.

I have some new 3/4" and universal steam have an identical version, but not 1/2".

Hi,

I am looking for the replaceable seat type globe valve made by BP it has a 12 tpi external thread on the nose, I have one to copy from another engine if I can get a casting.

John
