Bent nosed valve
Wanted,
BP 1/2" bent nosed steam valve as fitted to Burrell , used on man stand for water lifter. Any condition, needed to help complete restoration of 3804 road loco. John White 07767 321016 |
John surely the valve wouldn't be on manstand as the water lift is on the belly tanks ?

Have you tried Universal Steam Engineering?

I believe Martin Fagg has made them in the past and may have patterns

valve
Andy - you are correct - however in his unfortunate fire they got destroyed - Martin made the valves for 3166 .

That's rather tragic. I am pretty sure the drawings are available from MERL.

John,
I can't help, but are you talking about the glanded plug type or globe valve? I tam looking for a plug type (glanded) and would be willing to share pattern costs etc. I have some new 3/4" and universal steam have an identical version, but not 1/2". |
Hi,
I am looking for the replaceable seat type globe valve made by BP it has a 12 tpi external thread on the nose, I have one to copy from another engine if I can get a casting. John |
