Trains & Traction News :- Just to make it clear that we do need entry forms this year, either paper or electronic, as part of our ongoing commitment to the site owners. These are only required for the Road exhibits and not those running on the 3.5/5" raised track although an email would be appreciated from them also. The event will still be run on the same informal basis and this is part of our efforts to keep it like that. The online form is quick and easy to use and I will be happy to help with any issues you may have. Regards, Barry Loraine....

Just a quick reminder, only a month away now. Good selection of entries already received but we can probably squeeze a couple more in if there is anyone else interested in coming for the weekend. Saturday is basically exhibitors day, all exhibits receive a pork roast in a roll with chips and salad and a commerorarive mug, short road run in the afternoon to the local village with an interesting hump back bridge to navigate and the railway track is open for visiting loco's (3 1/2" and 5" gauge). Sunday is open to the public, free entry with a nominal charge for rides on the railway and any road loco's that feel like dragging a few people around.
Ethos of the weekend is an informal event for exhibitors and a low cost family day on Sunday to raise awareness of CDMES and miniature steam, unfortunanately we are unable to supply coal. Camping and caravaning for exhibitors on site available for arrival Friday from midday and depart Monday before midday with prior notice. Paul. |
