wanted diesel roller the older the better, must be in good working order but appearance not that important, something between 3 to7 tons or there a bouts please, close to gods own county of yorkshire would be good but willing to travel.

I have one the same, it's 8 tons, a WW2 variant on a DX-type platform supplied for building aerodromes. This one appears to have the original (petrol) Ford V8 and the transmission is based on a Ford ET6 truck.

Pm Clive Hearsey on this site, his Aveling DX is for sale. Nice machine, fully restored. I did my class G on it.
