3" Wallis Simplicity project for sale

I think it's time to let someone else have a go at this-it's been sat in the house for ten years with no progress.

This is a roughly 40-50% completed Wallis Simplicity in 3" scale.

There is what appears to be a home-made copper boiler with NO PAPERWORK. It requires some work to complete. Silver soldered, with soldered in copper tubes. Two clack bushes and the blowdown bush are fitted, but there is no bush for the gauge glass, or pad for the cylinder block. There no markings or stamps and no paperwork with the boiler, I will remove this from the sale if required.

The hornplates have been completed and drilled for fitting. Fitted with footplate and the backplate with drawbar. Second shaft bearings are fitted, as are the rear stub axles and their housings. Spectacle plate is made but not fitted.

The rear rolls have been finish turned and had bearings, hubcaps and machined final drive gear rings fitted.

The front forks have been machined, painted in primer and fitted to the front rolls, complete with headstock pivot pin. Headstock casting has been fitted to the smokebox, and the bush for the pivot pin is in place. Smokebox is complete with front and rear rings and chimney base.

There are numerous other parts that are unfitted, including a machined cylinder block, home-made lubricator tank and lid machined trunk guide, steering wheel and steering gear quadrant casting.

Finally there is a bagged set of drawings varying from poor to just about useable condition, and an assortment of tins containing various small parts and fixings. One contains a completed reversing lever.

I'm not sure how much to ask for this, considering the uncompleted boiler. The rest of the work so far is a high standard and although a little grubby would make a good headstart for the project, with much of the heavy work done giving a 'rolling chassis'. I have only taken it apart for photos and storage, it was previously built up to 'rolling chassis' stage.

Sensible offers or suggestions of value welcomed via P.M. Detailed photos available via email for anyone interested.
