You can really see the difference is size between the 7 and 8 horse Marshalls

7 8 hp size.
 

Are they both not 8 hp engine ?

When Park Holland had it around here with 'Rocket' Ron Maddison in charge, it was always passed off as a 7.

Besides its little compared to Titan. I would have thought that a good clue.

Its a very fine engine.
