look at your local plumbers merchants. Rothenberger make a good one for testing heating systems which should do what you need

When I worked for 'Speedyhire' a few years ago you could hire hydraulic test pumps. These went up to quite high pressures and were used for testing underground pipelines etc. Have a look on their website.

Hi folks, many thanks for all your help. If nobody has a unit for sale then as the Rothenberger 30 unit - or equivelant would suit, that's my PLAN B.

We have always used an old Stirup pump!
