This book tells the story of my family's work with steam in the first half of the twentieth century, featuring many previously unpublished photographs from the family collection.

The title refers to the deposit on Charles Pumfrey's first set of threshing tackle, 100 gold sovereigns from his wife's Co-Op savings.
