Klondyke mill staffs, Brass foundry demonstration oct 12th
Following on from the event at Forncett in June, the same demonstration is taking place at klondyke mill, Draycott in the clay Staffs, DE6 5GZ, home of the north Staffs and Cheshire traction engine club on Sunday October 12th at 2pm.
A great opportunity for those of us in the midlands etc who couldn't get to Norfolk, to see this event. Noel Shelley will be giving a talk and demonstration on small scale foundry work. If you saw the Fred Dibnah series "Made in Britain" you may remember the brass plate bearing the series title which appeared in the opening sequence. This was made by Noel using the home made furnace which he will be demonstrating after he has described the how and why of his methods. The demonstration will begin at 2pm and there will be an interval for refreshments. The demonstration lasts approximately 2 hours. There will be a charge of £3 payable on the day. Everybody welcome |
Back to the top, everyone welcome. Should be a great afternoon.

Can't recommend this too highly. Noel gave us a really fascinating and interesting afternoon at Forncett. Happily he's one of the characters in an often dull world.

Don't forget that this is next Sunday. All are welcome.
