NTET AGM 2013
A few more pictures from the weekend, it wasn't just shiny Burrell's! A few pictures taken at the morning visit to Amberley Museum.
Marshall 79669 this is engine worked with Midhurst District Council until October 1983, making it one of the last commercially used rollers. Recently sold to the museum earlier in the year: http://www.steamscenes.org.uk/tth/13...5-DSC_6276.jpg Sentinel 8945, which has been signwritten with Aberdeen Corporation livery, the original owners. This is the engine that was originally restored as a tractor by Barrack's in Aberdeen: http://www.steamscenes.org.uk/tth/13...4-DSC_5970.jpg Engine not in steam but part of the very extensive collection of road rolling equipment (the largest in the country I am told) was Aveling-Barford AG 758 a former John Crawley engine which went new to Cumberland County Council: http://www.steamscenes.org.uk/tth/13...1-DSC_6020.jpg http://www.steamscenes.org.uk/tth/13...2-DSC_6035.jpg A steam crane that was lifting timber in the woodyard: http://www.steamscenes.org.uk/tth/13...2-DSC_6087.jpg And Tasker 1396, an interesting engine which I have not seen for a long time. Originally used as a demonstrator by Taskers and sold in 1911 to Midland Rolling & Haulage Company, the current owner is the fourth generation of the family to own this engine so putting it in a very select group of engines still owned by the original operators family. 1396 was a common sight at West Midland rallies in the 60's & 70's.
