It was a very enjoyable rally.
I only made it there sat evening so didn't see much but the atmosphere in the beer tent was very good and the drinks kept flowing well into sunday morning. I recomend it to anyone who enjoys a laid back rally. Same time, same place every year. You can't miss it. |

It was a really good rally all round except for the rain from the previous week which made it a little muddy in places. This made the arena a bit soft so only the main stretch of road was used. This still allowed for one game to be played 'Judge the width' and I think that because this was the only game there was a bit of extra rivalry between engine drivers on measurments!
Saturday night proved a good laugh with 20 engines taken up the New Inn, proved a bit too much for some local residents to cope with and the traffic conducting skills of some were put to the test. But hey considering the weather it was a fantatsic weekend and a proper start to the summer events! Emma |
I see that Ruth Atkinson's Fowler has a colonial arse end on it . Should this be known as a BUMKER , and will they become fashionable for burning wood ??

The fowler roller on the top looks spot on.

Great pictures of some very interesting engines, the Garrett road loco is particularly impressive.
