Fillongley Village Hall Fete

Pedler and Angelina were invited to attend the Village Fete at Fillongley, Warwickshire, yesterday. Pedler gave rides in the trailer around the village all day which involved a rather hilly route with some tight turns, which we did a total of seven times. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and a goodly sum was raised toward the Village Hall funds.

At last, my video footage... Pedler sounds really good at the start, is this the expansion valve gear at work?

Thankyou for posting this footage Michael. You ask about the expansion valve gear and the sound. Pedler was working in full forward gear with no cut-off in operation as the hill being climbed was quite steep so full power was needed. When the expansion gear is employed it tends to quieten the exhaust as there is less steam admitted to the cylinders so, therefore, less steam being ejected via the blast pipe. Hope this helps. Next time we are in steam and you can get over, I'll demonstrate.
