National Mills Day, Sunday 12th May
Bardwell Windmill will be open on Sunday for National Mills Day
Please support your local wind or watermill this weekend to help celebrate this little bit of our countries heritage. Countless hours and £££'s go into thier up-keep and restoration, so get along and support them please. At Bardwell, Oliver will be in steam; with tours of the mill, freshly baked bread, raffle, tombola , cakes and teas, plus craft demonstrations. All are very welcome. If windy, milling flour. Free entry, donations welcome, all proceeds towards the continued restoration of this Georgian windmill. Dont forget to put our Steam Threshing Day in your diary as well Sunday August 18th. Vintage tractors, cars and sometimes visiting engines, plus the usual stalls etc . A friendly old fashioned do. IP31 1AD Thanks, Jonathan Wheeler |

Shame I can't make it, will be at Stotfold Mill helping with their Steam Rally.Having been a mill enthusiast since my teens, I had been following the restoration developments at Bardwell Mill with great excitement. I was desperate to see the finished result so I decided to make a detour to North Suffolk on the way home from last years Strumpshaw rally. The mill looks great and your team must be congratulated for all the hard work involved.
