Thanks for the photographs Ian, it was good to meet you today and to catch up with other TTers. It was a terrific day with a good variety of engines, some of them came a long way to join in. I'll try and post some photos later. A huge thankyou to all the engine owners and crew who gave of their time and money today, and to the organisers for all their hard work. These days don't just happen they take a lot of work and my thanks go to all of you.

Was a great day. Lots of interest from people not involved in the steam engines.

The staff at the Norman Knight were a bit shocked at the numbers that were at the pub!

Wish I could have stayed longer and seen the coming up the hill out of Whichford or stayed overnight at the pub.

Maybe next year.

Trevor

Why must some car driver's follow so closely? A pretty good photograph is ruined by that car trying to push the Robey up the hill.

Thankyou to all who helped today.

And to make the day really special I found two old photographs of road steam in an interiors shop in Chipping Norton. More to follow from our Webmaster who may post them on here soon. :D

Was a cracking day, the selection of engines, the route, the people and the weather - all spot on. Wasn't sure if I had made the right decision as I left Lincolnshire in the rain, but it turned out to be one of the best steam days I've had this year.

Was nice to bump into TT'ers and friends and meet a few new faces and put some names to them.

Only problem of the day, as mentioned, was the cars trying to get in the photos, but we can't have everything I guess.

Unfortunately I could only make it for the very end of the run and had less than an hour to spend there, so apologies to all those I didn't say hello to, looks like I missed a cracking day. Here are just a few pictures as a few of the engines arrived back.

Steve

I see from your photos at the brewery you were there before the governor belt fell off!
When we first went in the engine was running as it should.
When we next went in the engine was running about four times faster!
I shut the gate valve valve down that supplied the steam and alerted the visitor centre.

The whole weekend was superb and a big thanks to all that made it possible, with special thanks to Nigel of Banbury Plant.
The only thing I can`t work out is how the hell did the portable beat us to the first pub?

Vince.
