4 ½“ Foden ‘C’ Type lorry for sale built to the John Rex design by an experienced engineer. This is not a kit built engine.

John Rex boiler with full paperwork and current boiler certificates, double high twin cylinders working at 170 psi.

This is a very good engine on the road, the gearing allows it to be efficient on coal and water while maintaining good cruising speeds. You can trundle around all day and only fill the water tanks once.

Built in 2007 by a very experienced engineer and only steamed a handful of times before I purchased it in 2008. Finished to a high standard and is fitted with a crankshaft machined from solid EN24T steel along with new aluminium pistons with Clupit piston rings and twin foster lubricators to ensure a good oil feed to each cylinder.

3 speed with an injector that works very well from 50 PSI to 170 PSI, crank driven water pump, hand water pump, working water lifter, front lamps along with a steam siren and whistle.

Purpose built tilting road trailer with winch available to transport the engine
