Bedfordshire Steam & Country Fayre 2012 (Large Pics)

What a cracking day we've had down at Old Warden today. The weather could not have been better and what a cracking turnout of exhibits of which many I have not seen before

I do hope you enjoy looking at this (rather large) collection of photo's taken today

Another 400+ photo's can be seen by visiting my site here

Great images - loved the selection of steam wagons, saw pretty much every one I could have hoped for, even the 1917 Sentinel ex-Bass Museum (which I visited earlier this year and was dissapointed not to see, wasn't aware of the sale)

Another superb show from the organisers. I still think this is better than GDSF. It's the show exhibitors WANT to be at, rather than just there to pick up the money. A lot of effort goes in to this show, and it's a fine example of what can be achieved if you put yourself out a bit. South Cerny is the same.

It is a great rally! But the road run in the evening sun tonight was even more special! Engines going to lots of destinations, perfect for photographs! Cant wait for 2014, and the ntet road run!

Firstly, many thanks for a great set of photographs. For me living in the Westcountry and not being able to get to Old Warden it was great to be able to get a feel of the event. I agree with the person who said that it was better than GDSF, that is probably so as at Old Warden the engines are spaced out a lot more and you seem to have the opportunity to get decent photos of them all.

Secondly, I was surprised in one way to see the first shot, Aveling registration number AF 6001 as the last time that I saw and photographed this engine was at Buckfastleigh in South Devon at the Dart Valley Railway in 1978!

Great pictures, looks like a fantastic event. That's a nice Fowler single in the last shot, haven't seen that one before.
