Newport Agricultural Show
 

Chetwynd Deer Park - Newport - Shropshire this coming Saturday.

Special emphasis on steam this year with 17 full size engines booked in including 2 showmans.

Show president this year is Stuart Phillips - the owner of Marshall "Challenger".

COME rain or shine the show will go on!

It takes more than wet weather to cancel the show – so rest assured it will go on. In our 103-year history the show has been cancelled only for the war and for foot and mouth so grab your wellies and your brollies (if needed!) and come and enjoy all that is on offer. Show President Stuart Phillips, seen here with fellow show officials, said:

“The deer park sits on sandstone and has its own natural drainage system making it an all-weather venue. It's well maintained and has hard core roads to enter by. Not only that, it’s stunningly beautiful and show day is one of those rare days when this conservation area can be fully appreciated.”

With only a few days to go, the show ground is a hive of activity as organisers work round the clock to lay the infrastructure and erect huge marquees to house the many displays.
