Smallwood Vintage Rally

We went both days. The sun shone all day, probably too much for photography, and the crowds grew as the days wore on. There was a great atmosphere and plenty to see with a splendid line up of Foden and ERF trucks as you would expect. The tractor field was full and the ring had to work shifts to get them all through. We met new and old TT friends. There were four full size engines and a scattering of minatures. The highlight for me was seeing General Hunter Weston resplendent in the sunshine. She doesn't get out much but she was pristine and breathing as lightly as a new born baby

Brilliant photos David. We had a very good weekend & we would like to thank everyone who brought their engines to Smallwood for us all to enjoy & hope you can all join us again next year.

Looks like a good event, I was going to pop down as its only 5-6 miles from were I live, instead I spent all weekend rubbing down check valves etc. Phil looks like he going to find the cakes from the look of his hair.

see you all soon

Dwain

Good to see those pics as being tied to a Lister engine (not literally!) I could not get to the arena event's. However I did meet David Bloor, and also Buzzy Bee who relieved me of some Old Glory magazines so that I can NEARLY get both feet in my loft at the same time ha ha! First time at the event for me and I was pleasantly surprised at how much was there.

Pete.

The cakes at Smallwood went to J_Turner023, but on the way some were relieved by the owner of the 1948 Foden bus.
