Walsh & Clark 1921
Although these are not traction engines, these are a form of progression from steam to oil/petrol, parafin. But how the belt stayed on the engine as it bunced all of the place being a single cylinder is noone's buisness.

Lots of very interesting tractors by steam makers, Fowler and Garretts and of course all the Crawley tractors some which were leiston built.A very good working area as well with stationary engines to traction engines all working.

Mark thanks for the pics of the Walsh and Clarke I didnt know there were two with winding drums are they a matched pair? Just a bit of information the engine is an opposed twin how that helps belt flap I dont know.

Very sorry we couldn't make it this weekend with our RS&J - personal circumstances wouldn't allow it. Glad it was a good show, we always have enjoyed Woolpit.
Great pics too guys. |
