Water Rose

Hi,

Does anyone have a 1 1/4" water rose ball in either steel or brass. I have a steel 1 1/2" ball that will not fit my new lifter pipe.

I bought a 2" one off Alan Davenport about a year ago. Could be worth a call. 01384 347136

Try David Ragsdale. He supplied us with a brass casting which is now turned, polished and drilled.

Seems that 1 1/2" is the smallest size available?

Richard - I have a 1 1/2" raw casting at home and from memory the wall section is quite thick so you could put one up in the lathe and reduce the wall section by 1/8" to get what you need? I will check the one I have to see if thats possible. Cheers Andy

Richard, is it really steel?

If so could you not cut the 1 1/2 tail off and weld on a smaller 1 1/4 tail?

Hi Hedd,

Its all steel in my world!

Yes it would be an option but Andy may well have a solution.

Richard - I have checked tonight and the 1 1/2" dia one is unfortunately cast oval and oversize so not enough meat left to machine down to 1 1/4" dia. If you purchase a gunmetal 1 1/2" one though it would not be a big job to lop the end off and silver solder or braze a new smaller end in or as Hedd suggest modify your existing one by welding on a smaller dia steel tube.

Have you tried MLB at Preston Services ? He has various sizes and seems OKish on price.
