Basingstoke Model Rally

Hello,
I had a fantastic day out on Saturday. There was plenty to see and do.
Model engines had freedom to move around as they wanted and it was great to see so many doing just that. I dont know how many there were but it was a lovely mix of engines, from a 2" Fowler to a 6" Mac. 4" Fodens, Burrels and fosters, Showmans, agriculturals, road locos. And that was just traction engines outside. I didn't get chance to see the trains but I could hear them running all day.
Inside there was more! A fantastic display of everything model engineering. From trains in various stages of being built, to hot air engines. Was nice to see lots of club stands too.
And as well as all that, there were lots of interesting shops to poke about in.

A fantastic day, good value for money to the public!!! Nice to see so much variety on display.

As an exhibitor it was friendly, water was easily avaliable, dispite the rain the field wasn't muddy.
Generally thumbs up all round.
Looking forward to next year.

Wizz
