This years event is my first trip out with the camera , looks like there will be plenty to see set in great surroundings thumbsup
It would have been nice to see Mr Hackworths Aveling touring the museum but I understand this will not happen this year :(

I've booked my train tickets and accommodation, so I'm excited about my first trip so far north!

Really is a great place to visit when the special event weekends are on .

You never know Dave - it might be to the wire...but we only have a month, and no tender yet...though stranger things have happened!

I'm looking forward to it, The last time I was there was 20 years ago.

I was there last week and could not get in to the engine sheds or see anything except the gallopers that were just being steamed the first time this year.

I fancied going to this this year. Is it normally a good do? Have been to Beamish a few times just on normal days and have loved it even then. Jon

Yes Beamish is well worth a look so big now need more than a day .
your admission ticket is valid for a year though so well worth visiting a few times other events on through out the summer/autumn.

Ah thats not bad then. We're only 90 minutes away too so not a bad run out really. It doesnt seem to clash with any other events I'm going to either so its in my diary now so will be there :)
